Housing Plant

TERM (Project Based)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Pant Cleaner position is responsible for providing cleaning duties including, sweeping the Plant Floor, final cleaning of units, general organization, paint touch-ups as required. The incumbent will be responsible for light and heavy cleaning duties of the premises on a daily basis.

 

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

  • The Plant Cleaner reports directly to the Plant Foreman

 

AREA OF SUPERVISION:

  • Positions that generally report to the Plant Cleaner
    • NONE

                              

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Blood Tribe Administration Policies and Procedures and the Blood Tribe Housing Department Operations Manual.

 

  • Maintains a tidy and hygienic work environment as per company standard.

 

  • Ensures cleanliness and tidiness of the Plant aisles.

 

  • Picking up shrink wrap, elastic bands, empty cartons.

 

  • Sweeping Plant floor

 

  • Assisting Production workers when required

 

  • Any other duties as requested

 

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS:

  • Must have at least 6 months experience performing Plant Cleaner duties (previous janitorial duties an asset)
  • Must be a team player and able to work as part of a team
  • General carpentry or labourer experience may be considered an asset
  • Must be okay with waling/bending/crouching for 10 hours a day
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • CAS approved safety shoes are required

Qualifications

NECESSARY TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have a valid WHIMIS Certificate
  • Must have a valid CPR Certificate
  • Must submit an updated criminal record check
